How we worked out the off-peak savings – The average tariff = 34p Day and 10p Night. Saving 31p per unit. 31p x 365 days in a year then times that by the usable capacity of the battery.

Off-Peak tariffs:

If you are looking to maximise your savings we strongly recommend using an off-peak tariff.
Charging a solar battery from the grid during off-peak times allows you to use this cheaper energy during the peak times. The great thing is you don’t even need solar panels to benefit from a solar battery solution. Just charge your battery at off-peak times with the cheap rate energy! Here are some companies that offer Off-Peak Tariffs:

Octopus Go Off-Peak Tariff: Octopus Go customers get super cheap electricity for 12p / kWh between 00:30 – 04:30 every night

Octopus Agile Off-Peak Tariff: Offers customers electricity prices that change every half an hour, based on the wholesale price of energy.

EDF Economy 7 Off-Peak tariff: With an Economy 7 tariff your electricity will be charged at two rates – a day rate and a night rate. You pay a cheaper rate for electricity for seven hours at night (off-peak) and a higher one in the day.
